Layers of dichroic glass provide a landscape for two dancers etched in the glass. This hanging is alive with color and I wish the camera could capture the vibrant colors in this piece. Once you have seen dichroic glass, you know that it is unique. Dichroic glass is coated with a film of metallic oxides that allow wavelengths to be reflected or transmitted. This is definitely a conversation piece!
After it is kiln fired, I mount the glass on ceramic tile. The glass is 5″x4 1/2 ” and the tile is 7″x6 1/2″.
Hardware is attached to the back to enable immediate hanging or It can also be displayed on an appropriately sized stand.
